European Popular School for Housing Right is working to allow activists and volunteers to aquire useful knowledge to defend their rights to housing. Knowledge of the law, including European and international texts, allowing them to defend their rights or to present to their local authorities new proposals for housing right « on the ground ». We propose to establish a European Popular School for Housing Right, school where activists from various European countries could meet and find a framework for exchange and formal training.

This European Popular School for Housing Right will propose :

  1. Training on various European and international legislation relevant to their actions
  2. Training on various European and international actors relevant for their actions
  3. Exchange their respective legislative frameworks
  4. Exchanges on their way to act on the ground

This project is realized with the support of Europe – GRUNDTVIG 2013-2015 – Education and Training Programme throughout life. Current partners are : Società Cooperativa Stand Up (Italy) – Habitat et Participation (Belgium) – Jurislogement (France) – Observatori de Derechos Humanos, DESC (Spain) – Szindikatus (Hungary).

A school carried by several European associations

The initiative to organize meetings and courses in this school is now co-driven by several European associations and movements in addition to the five core partners : Action Diritti in Movimiento (IT) – AITEC (FR) – Casa delle Donne Lucha e Siesta (IT) – DAL de Liège (BE) – DAL France (FR) – Habitat for Humanity Hungary (HU) – HALEM (FR) – La Rue (BE) – Plataforma de Afectados por la Hipoteca (ESP) – Solidarités Nouvelles (BE) – Szocialis Epitotabor Egyesület (HU).
