DESCRIPTION OF PARTNER

The Alpil is a nonprofit organization founded in 1979 with the aim of providing access to housing of any person or group of people in precarious situations by avoiding discrimination.

The unconditional acceptance and support for people in need of housing is built with actions aimed at a better understanding of the housing needs of excluded households and the development of a range of suitable housing as well as study visits and contributions to enrich the local and national public housing policies.

Access to the common law is an essential axis of Labour Alpil that, beyond the unconditional acceptance of people in need of housing, resulting in facilitation of access to hotlines law (prevention of evictions , right to housing), the establishment of collective workshops for people in difficulty and activists, participation in collective action and access to the right devices. These actions are aimed at people without housing solution or inadequately housed.

The Alpil manages the network of lawyers Jurislogement. Jurislogement is born from the association of legal professionals believe that the search for a better implementation of the right to housing must also go through a legal research. This network is composed of members activists, lawyers associations and trade unions and lawyers involved and interested in the respect and the development of housing law and defending the right to housing. It is a place of exchange and legal construction. The network's aim is to promote the rights of all, including the poorest, to housing. Monitor compliance and legislative and judicial development of the law of housing, national, European and international level.

OUR ROLE IN THE PROJECT

  1. Participate in all international meetings - support the identified tasks - take over the tasks locally.
  2. Bring its legal specific skills (network Jurislogement) exchange activities, training and dissemination of law to non-lawyers involved in defending the right to housing.
  3. Actively participate in the discussion on training tools and products to achieve.
  4. Organize an international meeting on its territory.
